Our Story

How YMP Came to Life

The best ideas come from unexpected places. For us, it started on a laid-back weekend in Austin, Texas—a city known for its culture, people-watching, and damn good drinks.

We were at a small bar, the kind that’s perfect for a cold beer and a few laughs. After a quick trip to the restroom, I came across some questionable writing on the wall. Curious, I asked my husband. He explained the joke, but I wasn’t convinced. So, naturally, I asked the bartender—a guy in a biker cap who looked like he’d seen it all. He laughed, confirmed it, and threw in a joke of his own. We couldn’t stop laughing.

That’s when the idea sparked.

Back at our table, fueled by drinks and humor, we started brainstorming. We wanted something bold, funny, and just the right amount of classy. That’s when Your Mama’s Pie popped up—the perfect mix of wit and innuendo. We shortened it to YMP, and it just worked.
